VOLUNTEERS: the lifeblood of our arboretum and gardens!
We invite you to join more than 300 volunteers who give their time and expertise.
- WHO CAN VOLUNTEER? Individuals, families, civic/social groups, clubs, organizations, churches, schools.
- INTERESTED? Learn more, complete our Volunteer Application, choose your area(s).
The Grounds
Our community volunteers:
- Mow the property
- Care for flowers, trees, and shrubs
- Maintain berms (weed, woodchip, etc.)

The Gardens Gift Shop
Volunteer responsibilities:
- Commit to a 4-hour shift once a week or twice a month
- Greet and chat with our guests
- Operate the cash register
- Keep the Visitor Center looking nice

The Tours
