Memorials + Honorariums
Thank you for considering a memorial or an honorarium at the Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens.
In addition to monetary donations, there are different options for physical memorials or honorariums: bricks, pavers, trees, benches. Each offers a unique way to:
- remember a loved one
- honor a special person
- celebrate a birth or other occasion
- celebrate one of life’s great moments
The Arboretum is a 501(c)3 corporation. All donations are tax-deductible.
Bricks
Add your own personalized garden brick to the Memorial Walkway at the Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. A garden brick is an inscribed red brick, inlaid in one of the Arboretum’s lovely garden walkways. Your brick is professionally engraved with your personal information/message. [Donation: $250.]
ENGRAVED RED BRICK OPTIONS
Due to the constraints of engraving, messages are limited to:
- 2 lines / 10 characters* on each line / size: 7 3/4" x 4" / cost: $250

Pavers
Add your own personalized garden paver to the Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. A garden paver is an inscribed paver, inlaid in one of the Arboretum’s entry plazas to the edible Garden of Eat'n. Three sizes are available and will be professionally engraved with your personal information/message. [Donation: $300 to $750.]
ENGRAVED GARDEN PAVER OPTIONS
Due to the constraints of engraving, messages are limited to:
- Medium: 2 or 3 lines / 14 characters* on each line / size: 9¼" by 4½" / cost: $300
- Large: 4 or 5 lines / 14 characters* on each line / size: 9¼" by 9¼" / cost: $500
- Extra Large: 4 or 5 lines / 20 characters* on each line / size: 9¼" by 14" / cost: $750

Trees
Dedicating a tree to someone represents a living tribute that will benefit present and future generations to come.
Whether a memorial or honorarium, this tree will serve as a way to show respect, admiration, and remembrance.
Donation: $800
A memorial/honorarium staked plaque is included with the purchase. [See example (at left).]

Benches
Park benches are a way to remember or honor someone in a lasting fashion. These durable benches are maintained by the Arboretum.
Each bench is adorned with a beautiful commemorative plaque engraved according to the donor's specifications.
