Grow in Containers
A container garden is the perfect way to add some color to your front porch or walkway, or even your flower beds. Choose a relatively large flower pot that will allow water to escape, and fill it with a high-quality potting mix. You can even repurpose old ceramic pots to hold your newest garden flowers. Carefully remove the flowers you’ve purchased from their temporary plastic pots without pulling on their leaves or stems and place them into the new flower planters. Gently massage the root ball so that they do not strangle the plant. For garden ideas for your potted flowers, use one focal plant, a lighter plant to spill over the edges, and cover any open spaces with a smaller filler flower. These gardening tips will have you planting a flower garden with color in no time! [Source BHG.com]
