GPS Tree Mapping
GPS technology — and its integration with smartphones — is allowing us to map specific trees and their locations on the Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens grounds. Here’s what the Magnolia Collection map looks like:
With more and more smartphones today including a radio chip that allows them to receive signals from satellite navigation systems and determine their location, you may be able to identify specific locations of specific trees. [You’ll want to check your device specifications to confirm whether your device can access this GPS mapping technology.]
